MEET CHEF ABDUL YASEEN
Abdul Yaseen is an award-winning chef and a modern Indian food connoisseur with a reputation for excellence both in the UK and overseas
Moving from India to London in 2001, Chef Yaseen was a founding team member of iconic London restaurant Cinnamon Club. He followed this by opening Cinnamon Kitchen and Anise as Head Chef in 2008 and establishing them as top dining destinations.
Awards quickly followed, including the UK BBQ championship, and the prestigious Canapé Cup at Square Meal Venues & Events, winning three years in a row, before opening Darbaar – a shared dining concept which showcased the versatility of Indian grill cuisine.
“For me, cooking is a combination of art, science and love. My creations are developed through understanding ingredients and flavour, bringing these together through traditional cooking techniques, crafting a dish to be enjoyed.”
Abdul has leant his skills to Celebrity Masterchef and Great Britain’s Best Dish, as well as being the author of Cinnamon Club: Indian Cuisine Reinvented. Dhol is his latest, and in many ways, most personal creation yet.

Inspired by the celebrations of his upbringing—where the rhythm of the Dhol, the warmth of family, and the richness of Indian spices came together—he brings those memories to life through food. Rooted in tradition and expressed with a modern approach, his cuisine is crafted to be shared, savored, and celebrated.
